Asia Africa Film Festival 2019

Globetrotter Lab presents the inaugural Asia Africa Film Festival (AAFF). For five days (April 24-28, 2019), we assembled a carefully curated selection of movies, ranging from feature films, documentaries and shorts from the two continents, and showcased them at Silver Screen Kemang, Jakarta.

Unbeknownst to many, Asia and Africa actually share a lot in common and are connected in ways both culturally as well as historically, and, at Asia Africa Film Festival (AAFF), Globetrotter highlighted these commonalities through film.

With AAFF, we hope to expand taste and knowledge beyond our own cities and continents while bucking stereotypes, economic, class and racial barriers.
